Normally when you hear “OMG” you think ditzy gum chewing ditzy teenage girl. So, when you see a bottle with the same title sitting on the shelf; you know it’s got to be interesting (or at least that’s what I thought.) Naturally I had to get it to indulge my curiosity and my inner teenage girl. Well that, and just the mention of the word “chardonnay” makes me come running like a kid who just heard the ice cream man pull down the street. I have to say, one sip of this wine and I was just about as pleasantly surprised as someone who wakes up from a night of drinking with an attractive person in the bed with them. I was certainly not expecting the taste sensation that is this bottle of wine. Though it may make you say “omg” it will be in delight; not because you’re a stunned airhead. While it is labeled as a chardonnay it has a little bit of eau de sauvignon blanc in it. You can taste the usually peachy notes that most chard’s have; but it sneaks a little bit of tropical fruit. The result is one sweet and bright, yet tangy smooth glass of vino. It’s like the lovechild of Georgia and the Caribbean. While I haven’t seen it in most places, it is definitely a wine worth putting in a little legwork to find. Screw Klondike bars, they should be asking what would you for OMG!?
Keep you wallets full and your mouths happy!
